On Wednesday, we participated in the Second Annual Coronado High School Cardboard Canoe Challenge, and we completed, and received Six different Achievements. They are the following :-:

• Select an Approach - Generate feedback (+, change, ?, !) and make a decision matrix regarding your sketches/prototypes. Specify the approach you've chosen and justify your selection.
Build Achievements:
• Build It!
Test Achievements:
• The Farthest - Awarded to the team that can travel the furthest (laps)
• The Longest - Awarded to the team with the watercraft that floats the longest (multiple teams may be awarded this achievement if multiple boats remain afloat at the end of our competition period). - Build your watercraft. Document it with a presentable photo.- Draw 3 different sketches for possible designs. Label at least 3 key features for each sketch. Describe the feature's functionality so a viewer understands why the called out feature is important.

THIS BLOG SHOWS THE PICTURES THAT PROVE OUR WINNING OF ACHIEVEMENTS
These are pictures of out "boat sketches". We had three ideas, and we chose the left one for our final construction of the canoe/boat. However, in the final product, we didn't add the curves on the bottom. Our final construction ended well, as we did have the longest lasting canoe even though everybody in our class doubted us.
The following are all pictures of the construction/taping of our boat. We called her the Sheila. It was in general, a box with duck tape. A great idea, executed perfectly. We all worked on the taping together, finishing it quickly, and with only two rolls of duck tape. We didn't buy any of our supplies, it was all courtesy of our teacher.

The following are all pictures of the canoe challenge, any one in period Six can use these ;) As you can see, not all canoes were able to last a minute, let alone a second in the water, however, Sheila came out on top as the best canoe for period six. The extra credit portion was also very fun, for those who's boats did not survive the water.
